Sadak 2: 'Alia Bhatt is in the house,' says Pooja Bhatt as the actress kickstarts the shooting today

With Sadak 2, master filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt is donning the director's hat after 20 years and the credit for that should go to daughter Alia Bhatt, who convinced him to helm this project. The action-thriller drama went on floors a few days back but Alia joined the cast today and elder sister, Pooja Bhatt welcomed her on the sets by sharing a picture of a vanity van with Alia's name on it and captioning it, "Alia Bhatt is in the house ???#Sadak2 #Day4#sadak2diaries #historicalday#morethanjustafilm #aliabhatt#maheshbhatt #sanjaydutt#adityaroykapur #poojabhatt#visheshfilms #filmmaking#filmmakinglife #daughters #fathers#actors #directors#memoriestolastalifetime #?"

Also starring Aditya Roy Kapur and Sanjay Dutt in key roles, the film will be produced under the banners of Vishesh Films and Fox Star Studios. Sadak 2 is set to hit the screens on July 10, 2020.

Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt will be next seen in Brahmastra alongside boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor. It is the first part of the trilogy and is made on the whopping budget of Rs 100 crore. Directed by Wake Up Sid and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani helmer Ayan Mukerji, the film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles. The film was set to hit the screens in December this year but due to VFX work, the makers have postponed it to summer 2020.
