Taapsee Pannu is grabbing all the headlines for her upcoming film Game Over and for all the right reasons. In fact, if the trailer is anything to go by, the actress, who has proven her mettle with films like Pink, Mulk and Badla, is all set to reinstate and reclaim her position with the psychological thriller. Directed by Ashwin Saravanan, the movie is a bilingual turned pan-Indian project and we couldn't complain. Taapsee would be seen playing a video game designer who ends up in a wheelchair due to a few unforeseen incidents and needless to say, we are expecting another note-worthy performance from the star. And this not just from what we have seen but also from all that we heard when we sat down for a candid chat with Taapsee. That's right, in an exclusive interview, Taapsee revealed that her character in Game Over demanded a lot from her and challenged her to push the envelope in more ways than one. When quizzed if it was difficult to get into the process and prep for getting into the mind space of the character who suffers from anniversary reaction, she said, "I used to crib and complain every day to Ashwin on the sets, 'why do you feel like making such a happy-go-lucky person go through this?' A lot of directors seem to be liking it for some reasons. And Ashwin says, 'happy people make for good subjects in these dark films. But it was challenging. I took the help of Kavya (Ramkumar, co-writer) to some extent cause she belongs to the family of doctors and she has met trauma patients. So, she could help me know how they react and how much is enough."

Not just that, Taapsee also revealed that she used to play a lot of video games like Pacman and Mario in between shots and whenever she got time. Now, that's one way to unwind don't you think?
If you're not in the know, Game Over which was first made in Telegu and Tamil was dubbed in Hindi later. It has Taapsee play the part of a game designer, who is trying to recover from a scarring incident. She suffers from anniversary reaction wherein the trauma increases around the date of her accident. Speaking about her character in the film, Taapsee had told PTI, With the co-writer of the film, Kaavya Ramkumar, I could understand the logic behind all these effects and reactions and how to use them naturally in my performance. It needs to be controlled to the right proportion to make it look believable."
Apart from Hindi, the film will release in Telugu and Tamil as well. Presented by Anurag Kashyap, Game Over is directed by Ashwin Saravanan and is slated for release on June 14.
