Alia Bhatt, Ram Charan to romance in Ahmedabad and Pune for SS Rajamouli’s RRR

Alia Bhatt will mark her debut down South with SS Rajamouli s directorial, RRR. And the actress will embark on her journey for the historical drama in the coming months. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the director has wrapped up 40 per cent of the shoot with Ram Charan, who plays Alluri Seetharama, and Jr NTR, who plays Komaram Bheem. And now, Alia Bhatt is all set to shoot her portions.

Alia Bhatt s character of Sita is in love with Ram Charan in RRR, and their scenes will be majorly shot in Pune and Ahmedabad. A source revealed the details in the report and was quoted as saying, She will shoot with Charan in Ahmedabad and Pune in the next couple of months. She will be seen in the look of a young girl from the early 1900s. Her character appears at a crucial point in the story, determining the course of the film."

Since the director is on a vacation, the team of RRR is on a break. The source further revealed, Rajamouli is flying abroad for a week so the actors have taken a break to spend time with their families. While Ram Charan s action-heavy introductory sequence has already been shot, the team will film the entry scene with Jr NTR in a few weeks. Rajamouli has mounted RRR on a massive budget and just the opening act of Ram Charan has a budget of Rs 15 crore, while for Jr NTR s character the budget is 25 crore. It s Rajamouli s tribute to the freedom fighters as he wants to showcase them in their full glory. It s an expensive film, added the source.

Apart from Alia Bhatt, RRR also features Ajay Devgn in a pivotal role, that of Ram Charan s father. The source informed, His is an extended cameo and even he plays a freedom fighter. RRR is scheduled to hit the screens on July 30, 2020.
