Ayushmann Khurrana's Article 15 is turning to be a winner at the box office. After showing substantial growth over the weekend, the crime drama remained rock-steady in the weekdays. The film currently stands with the grand total of Rs 31.16 crore and will surpass the collections of Bareilly Ki Barfi and Vicky Donor to become Ayushmann Khurrana's fourth highest grosser of all-time. The film will cross Shubh Mangal Savdhaan's business to grab the third spot in the list.

Article 15 is based on Article 15 of the Indian Constitution that prohibits discrimination of Indians on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth, and it takes inspiration from true life events. When asked to Ayushmann if Article 15 should be made tax free by the state governments in India, he said: "I definitely feel that this film should be declared as a tax free film because it is necessary that this film should reach every part of the country. It's not a comedy or an entertaining film. It is based on a vital subject, so it should reach maximum number of people."
