Jennifer Winget's Maya is still everyone's favourite. The actress played the role of the psychotic-obsessive lover of Kushal Tandon's character in one of the most popular shows of small screen Beyhadh. Despite having worked post-Beyhadh, people still cannot forget Jennifer's performance in the show. The actress was showered with so much love and appreciation for her role in Beyhadh that after the show's end. People requested the makers to bring the show back. Well, the makers have complied and have decided to bring the show back with the second season.
That being said, the new season will be produced by Prateek Sharma who is currently producing Sufiyana Pyaar Mera and Bahu Begum. Speculations were rife that Viraf Patel would be cast opposite Jennifer Winget in the second season. But here's the catch. Rumour mills are abuzz that not Jenny but Naagin 3 actress Surbhi Jyoti is being approached for the show. You heard it.
As per a report in an entertainment portal, the makers are negotiating the money with Jennifer and if things settle down it well and good and viewers will get to enjoy watching Jennifer in her glam and ruthless avatar again. But if the deal is off they may have to approach another popular face for the show and that face is none other than Surbhi Jyoti.
A source told TellyChakkar, that the makers are planning to rope in Surbhi given her popularity and her acting skills. Well, that's a big blow to all Jennifer fans but let's hope for the best. Meanwhile, Beyhadh's Maya was loved despite being the main villain of the story. Maya was the first character with grey shades that was received with so much love.
On the work front, Jennifer is currently gearing up for a web series titled Code M. The actress will be seen essaying a role of Major Monica Mehra in the series.
