Dabangg 3, which is going to release this Christmas marks the debut of Mahesh Manjrekar's younger daughter, Saiee. The film is being produced by Arbaaz Khan and Nikhil Dwivedi. Mahesh Manjrekar played the role of Sonakshi Sinha's father in the first film. He has come back for a cameo in Dabangg 3. In the film, Saiee is the second female lead and she will be shown romancing a young Salman. As per a piece in Mumbai Mirror, Mahesh is taking his daughter's debut very seriously while a majority of Bollywood parents. It seems he is very strict with her. It seems the Vaastav filmmaker has issued a strict no-dating rule for her. Hmm!
A source had earlier told Mumbai Mirror, "She plays Salman's love interest and her role is primarily in the prequel. However, life comes full circle as the character has relevance to the conflict Chulbul is battling in the present." It seems they have shot for a song together. Earlier, it was rumoured that Mahesh's elder daughter Ashwami would make her debut with the film.
Mahesh Manjrekar told MiD-Day, "I had one scene with Saiee and Salman, and it was wonderful to be in the same frame as my daughter. I felt proud and emotional." He also clarified that his elder daughter was never interested in acting. "There were reports that my elder daughter Ashwami was in Dabangg 3, but she is a chef, and never wanted to be an actor. She assisted me for a while on Viruddh ( 2005). She would have been a fantastic director, but she never wanted to be in films. Saiee has always wanted to be an actress," said the filmmaker.
