Hear this! Ranbir Kapoor gets sentimental as he seeks Alia Bhatt's hand from dad Mahesh

Alia Bhatt has been in a relationship with her crush Ranbir Kapoor for almost two years now. The duo's love affair began on the sets of their very first film Brahmastra and the rest they say is history. Ranalia, as they are fondly called, are going headstrong and buzz is that they may get married in the next year itself. Well, their wedding rumour is not freshly brewed, as it has been doing rounds for the longest time. Time and again, both Ranbir and Alia have gone on record to say that there is no marriage on cards for them currently. But, rumours are rumours- they refuse to die down.

And if the latest report in Mumbai Mirror is to be believed then, it is quite sure that Ranbir and Alia's wedding shenanigans will begin in 2020. The report states that Ranbir has formally met his girlfriend Alia Bhatt's father and filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and asked for his daughter's hand finally. If this meeting doesn't make things official then, we don't know what will!

On that note, we all know that Ranbir Kapoor's parents Rishi and Neetu are extremely fond of the Raazi actress and vice versa. Alia's mother dearest Soni Razdan has also approved of her to-be-daamad and so has the actress' father. Rishta toh pakka hai, ye samaj hi lo! It is about time when the Kapoors and Bhatts come together and make an official announcement.

Meanwhile, Ranbir and Alia are currently busy fulfilling their professional commitments. Last month, the couple was working on Brahmastra - superhero fantasy film. The Ayan Mukerji directorial is to be made into three parts, out of which, the first is slated for Summer 2020 release. It seems Ranbir and Alia will have a double bonanza next year with their film's release and wedding.
