Porus actress Sameksha Singh does NOT want do a daily soap - read exclusive statement

From Bollywood to TV shows and from Punjabi films to South movies, Sameksha Singh has done it all. In a career spanning more than 10 years, the actress has experimented with different roles and always manages to entertain her fans.

Sameksha is best known for her portrayal of Olympias in Porus, while her last onscreen appearance was as Saudamini in Tantra. Currently, she is busy promoting her upcoming movie Pranaam, which is a tribute to a specific era of Hindi cinema. A few days ago, BollywoodLife exclusively interacted with Sameksha Singh and she spoke about how Pranaam is different from regular Bollywood films and also opened up about her camaraderie with co-star Rajeev Khandelwal.

Sameksha also spoke candidly about her plans to do a TV show. While her co-star, Rajeev Khandelwal made it clear that he wouldn't do daily soaps, the 34-year-old actress also has a similar viewpoint. Sameksha nodded affirmatively when asked if she would a show anytime soon. "In the last few years, I have received a lot of love for my character of Olympias in Porus. I haven't done any international project before but this show was aired in 44 countries and premiered at Cannes. So I would definitely return to TV, but I don't want to do a daily soap."

And while she doesn't wish to do a daily soap, Sameksha is open to doing a web series with an important character. "I am ready to pick up any character which is substantial and strong, whether it's TV or web series, the medium doesn't matter to me, it never did," she concluded.

And while she doesn't wish to do a daily soap, Sameksha has qualms picking up other serials or web series unless and until the character offered to her is substantial. "Any character which is substantial and very strong, whether it's TV or web series, the medium doesn't matter to me. It never did," she said.
