Rishi Kapoor is recovering from his battle with cancer in New York City. The veteran actor was accompanied by his wife Neetu Singh whilst getting the treatment for the same. Neetu has stood like a rock by Rishi's side throughout his tough time and struggles. The actress says that she wanted to do everything in her power to help her husband to overcome his battle, or that he doesn't feel any pain. Neetu and Rishi Kapoor opened up about the latter's struggles and pain and what was it like for her who was the support system to him.
"It's like he became like my child and I wanted to do everything in my power that he should not be in pain, he should get whatever he wants." the actress told TOI. Rishi too said that Neetu has been like a rock by his side and that he couldn't have done a thing without her. "She has been a rock of Gibraltar, really supported me. Without her, I wouldn't be not getting anywhere. Rishi said.
Neetu revealed how she managed Rishi Kapoor's medication. She said for, her better understanding, she made her own list. "I don't understand these dawayis (medicines) and I can't do it wrong. I have to do it right. I kind of made my own list and the way it should be given, what I would understand," She told the leading daily.
This isn't the first time, Rishi has praised his wife, Neetu Singh for being the immense support she has. Earlier in an interview with Mid-Day, he had said "Neetu has been my rock and has shouldered all the responsibilities. So has been my family, who would drop in to give me the strength to battle my illness."
We for one cannot wait for one of our favourite Bollywood couples to be back in the city. Rishi who has is now cancer-free wishes to celebrate Ganesh Chathurthi in his homeland with all his loved ones by his side. Let's hope for the best. For more scoops and updates, stay tuned to BollywoodLife.
