Sara Ali Khan flaunts Coolie No 1 jacket as she begins shooting for the film - watch video

Sara Ali Khan is a busy bee nowadays. The actress recently completed the shoot of Imtiaz Ali's directorial Aaj Kal with Kartik Aaryan. And now she is ready to face the camera for the Coolie No 1 remake. The shoot of David Dhawan's film officially commenced yesterday in Thailand. Varun Dhawan was spotted at the airport as he left for the film's shoot. The actor flaunted his Coolie No 1 jacket as he posed for the paparazzi. Likewise, his co-star Sara Ali Khan donned the same jacket while she was leaving for Thailand. Sara shot cute a boomerang of herself happily flaunting this jacket. And it seems, she is way too excited to begin shooting for the remake of Coolie No 1

Earlier Varun Dhawan had shared a video of himself getting ready for the film's shoot on his Instagram handle. "Do not take life too seriously. You will never get out of it alive-Elbert Hubbart. N joy karo bhai leaving for coolie no 1 (sic)," he had captioned the video.

David Dhawan helmed the original CoolieNo 1 starring Govinda and Karisma Kapoor (1995). 24 years later, the filmmaker decided to recreate the same magic with his son Varun and Kedarnath actress Sara Ali Khan. Opening about the idea of the remake, David had earlier said in a statement, "After re-watching the original, I started working on the script. For six months, I wondered if I should make it or not. Finally, I decided to adapt it. It's actually a new film. I've worked on it for almost a year with the original writer Rumi Jaffery on the screenplay and Farhad Samji on the dialogue."

Coolie No 1 remake releases on May 1, 2020.
