Telugu actor Venkatesh Daggubati has joined hands with young filmmaker KS Ravindra for his next which is titled Venky Mama. The film is a multi-starrer and also stars Venkatesh's nephew Naga Chaitanya in other lead role. The shooting is underway in Hyderabad currently and Venkatesh is part of it. And in an unfortunate development, Venkatesh is said to have injured himself during the shooting and sprained his leg during one of the scenes. The actor is said to have rushed to a nearby hospital for first-aid. Venkatesh is said to be fine now and has resumed shooting for Venky Mama. However, owing to injury, it is being speculated that Venkatesh may take a break soon to recuperate for further schedules.

The injury jinx seems to have hit Tollywood after many actors are getting injured during shooting. Sharwanand had gotten injured recently while shooting for Ranarangam and broke his right arm. Naga Shaurya injured his leg while shooting for an action scene for his next which is yet to be titles. And the latest one is Venkatesh who, however, hasn't been severely injured.
Venky Mama will star Payal Rajput and Raashi Khanna as the leading ladies opposite Venkatesh and Naga Chaitanya respectively. The shooting of the film began recently on the banks of river Godavari. And as the shooting is in progress, an excited fan seems to have shot this video and shared online which is now the talk of the town.
Venkatesh was last seen in F2 which turned out to be a super hit. Directed by Anil Ravipudi, F2 also starred Varun Tej in other lead role while Tamannaah and Mehreen Pirzada played the leading ladies.
