Ujda Chaman and Terminator Dark Fate pick up at the box office on day two

After beginning on a decent note, which offered promise for both films, all eyes were on the kind of growth Ujda Chaman and Terminator: Dark Fate could achieve come that crucial Saturday. The Sunny Singh- Maanvi Gagroo starrer and the Arnold Schwarzenegger-Linda Hamilton tentpole had to show decent growth if they were to entertain any thought of having moderately successful runs at the box-office. Well, the good news is that both films showed reasonable enough jumps to keep their makers as well as the trade hopeful in the coming days.

While Ujda Chaman collected Rs. 3.30 cr nett to take its 2-day collection to Rs. 5.65 crore nett. Dark Fate was even better with Rs. 3.95 cr nett, taking hitherto its total to 7.20 cr nett.

Day 1: 2.35 cr nett

Day 2: 3.30 cr nett

Total (2 days): 5.65 cr nett

Terminator Dark Fate

Day 1: 3.25 cr nett

Day 2: 3.95 cr nett

Total (2 days): 7.25 cr nett

This is just the beginning of the journey ahead though as both films need to witness further growth tomorrow, on Sunday, following which they'll need to hold really well through the weekdays before a slew of new releases from Bollywood and Hollywood take over on Friday. With films like Bala, Midway, and Doctor Sleep releasing Ujda Chaman and Terminator: Dark Fate have just got until next Thursday to cash in and ensure that that they emerge somewhat profitable for their investors. The good things is that the former has been made on a budget of just Rs. 9 crore (including P&A) while the latter, too hasn't been purchased at a huge amount for the Indian market, so both have a solid chance of making it.
