With Thalaivan Irukkindraan, Kamal Haasan and AR Rahman will reunite after a gap of 19 years, as the duo has previously worked together on 2000 release, Thenali. Thalaivan Irukkindraan was in the works a couple of years ago but the Hindi-Tamil bilingual was put on the back burner. The film will reportedly chronicle the life of a politician.
Apart from Thalaivan Irukkindraan, Kamal Haasan is currently juggling his political duties with his passion for films. mal is simultaneously juggling between cinema and politics. The actor will begin shooting for Indian 2, a sequel to his hit 1996 film. Kamal is also hosting the ongoing season of Bigg Boss Tamil 3.
