Akhil Akkineni to romance Pooja Hegde in his next with Bommarillu Bhaskar?

Akhil Akkineni has collaborated with Bhaskar of Bommarillu for his third film and the shooting of the film began recently in Hyderabad. However, the shooting of the film has been put on hold for now because the makers are yet to lock the leading lady for the film. According to reports, Anupama Parameswaran was in consideration however the A..Aa actress couldn't adjust her dates. The hotshot actress Rashmika Mandanna too was approached but for some reason things didn't work out. And according to latest reports, the search might have come to an end. According to a report in Deccan Chronicle, Pooja Hegde has been finalised as the leading lady opposite in this film. This move by the makers has come as a surprise to many since Pooja may appear to be older to Akhil on screen. However, the director is said to designing to establish the storyline in the beginning in such a way that it removes this thought out.

This film of Akhil with Bhaskar is yet to be titled and will be bankrolled by Geetha Arts. The film is speculated for a Sankranti release, but going by the developments, it is likely to be pushed further. Bhaskar is back in Tollywood after a long gap and hasn't made a film since Ongole Gitta which released in 2013. After six years, Bhaskar will look to make a strong comeback in Tollywood with this Akhil-starrer.

Speaking about Pooja Hegde, the DJ actress will next be seen in two films in Tollywood - Ala Vaikuntapuramlo and Valmiki. Starring Allu Arjun in the lead role, Ala Vaikuntapuramlo is directed by Trivikram Srinivas and will be her second film with both the actor and the director. In Valmiki, which is directed by Harish Shankar, Pooja is paired opposite Varun Tej who plays a gangster. Her look from the film was revealed a day ago and Pooja turns a village belle in the film.
