EXCLUSIVE! Batla House actress Nora Fatehi reacts to Koena Mitra's criticism on O Saki Saki

Every time Nora Fatehi shakes a leg for a song in any film, the actress gets the loudest cheer from the masses. She made her debut in Bollywood about five years ago, but Dilbar from Satyameva Jayate is touted to be her claim to fame. Despite being a remake of an old classic, Dilbar struck the right chord with the audience and so did Nora Fatehi's fabulous dance moves. After that, there was no looking back for the Canadian beauty. She did a special dance number, Kamariya in Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Stree. And recently, she set the silver screen on fire with her sensuous dance moves in O Saki Saki for Batla House. Besides winning everyone's heart with her fab dancing skills, the actress is equally being appreciated for her role in the Nikkhil Advani directorial.

BollywoodLife exclusively interacted with Nora Fatehi for Batla House and here are the excerpts from our chat...

On O Saki Saki's success

It is overwhelming, at the same time, there is a sense of accomplishment. It is good to know that people are accepting my work and the song is clicking with the audience. I always give 100% to any project that I am part of. In terms of Saki's success, it is a little bit different. My presence in Batla House increased and I could showcase my dancing as well as my acting skills.

On Koena Mitra's criticism

Honestly, I did not have any reaction when I read Koena Mitra's tweet before or after the song released. For me at that point, I was just excited for my song (O Saki Saki) to release and also there were many positive responses to the teaser. Regarding her reaction, everyone is entitled to have an opinion, I did not put my energy on that and let that affect me.

On her role in Batla House

So, my role is a small but a meaty one. I really wanted to do this part to bring life to the fact I can act in Hindi films. To get a role like Huma (her character), in a short period of time, I got to play a different set of emotions in different scenarios. And I got a chance to deliver dialogues in Hindi, which people have been waiting for. The response to my role has been so positive.

On her fond memory from Batla House sets

I remember the scene with my co-star where I had to deliver a lot of dialogues while director Nikkhil Advani and team were at the monitor watching how was I going to perform and deliver the dialogues. Once the shot was over, they were all so happy and told me that I was just was brilliant. Hearing that coming from the director and crew is a great push for an artist.
