Mission Mangal box office collection day 2 early estimates: Akshay Kumar- Vidya Balan starrer remains rock-steady

Indian satellite reached the Mars orbit in the first attempt and likewise, Mission Mangal reached touched the audience's heart on the first day itself. The space film featuring Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Kirti Kulhari and Nithya Menen scored big on day 1 at the box office. Mission Mangal made Rs 29.16 crore thereby becoming the second biggest opener of 2019. The film has turned out to be Akshay Kumar's biggest opener.

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Bharat is still at the top spot with Rs 42.30 crore. Jagan Shakti's Mission Mangal got an upper hand as it released on a national holiday. The movie has received a fantastic response from both critics and viewers. Needless to say, people are gathering in large numbers at the theatres to watch this wonderful cinematic experience.

And it is due to the big footfalls at the cinema halls, that Mission Mangal has earned well on day 2 at the box office as well. According to the early box estimates, Mission Mangal has raked in about Rs 17 crore and that is huge. There is a slight drop in day 2 numbers considering it was a normal weekday. And as mentioned above, the movie got a bumper opening because of a holiday release. However, we must add that Mission Mangal is maintaining a speedy pace at the ticket windows. And we wouldn't be surprised if the Jagan Shakti directorial will enter the 100 crore club in its first week of the release itself.

In a three-star review of Mission Mangal, our critic Urmimala Banerjee wrote, "Mission Mangal's prime strength lies in the crisp narrative and superlative performances. Vidya Balan is absolutely brilliant throughout the film whether she is talking of power beyond science or when she tells her husband that as a mom she is equally clued in as she is as a scientist. Akshay Kumar delivers the good and has the best one-liners."
