Akshay Kumar's latest release on the box office Mission Mangal has become a hit. The movie which released earlier this Independence Day, has been doing well at the domestic box office. In five days, the movie ended up in the 100 crore club and made Rs 106.47 crore. Furthermore, the movie is unstoppable as even though weekdays have kickstarted the movie is still going strong. On the sixth day, the movie has earned a whopping sum of Rs 7.92 crore which makes the total count of the movie, Rs 114.39 crores. The movie which stars a stellar star cast including, Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Kirti Kulhari and Sharman Joshi, opened with the biggest number.
Mission Mangal was Akshay Kumar's highest opener and also the second biggest opener of the year, after Bharat. On its first day, the movie earned Rs 29.16 crore. This is also the first Indian Space Drama to enter the elite club of Rs 100 crores. With this Akshay Kumar has given yet another hit film. Mission Mangal is Kumar's 10th consecutive hit in a row. Akshay's hit movie spree kickstarted in 2016 with Airlift. Since then, the actor has not given a single flop. He also shifted his genre to the patriotic cinema.
