Sara Ali Khan and Varun Dhawan have reached Bangkok, Thailand for the shoot of Coolie No.1. While Sara Ali Khan shared the mahurat shot on her Insta stories, a picture of the two from the sets has gone viral. In the click, Varun Dhawan can be seen in a hot pink shirt while Sara Ali Khan is wearing a pink and white polka dot apron. Coolie No.1's new version is a remake of the 90's hit featuring Govinda and Karisma Kapoor. This is the fourth film Sara Ali Khan is shooting for in two years. BollywoodLife was the first to break the news that Sara Ali Khan is being considered for Karisma Kapoor's role in the remake that is being helmed by David Dhawan. This is Varun Dhawan's second film with his dad after Judwaa.
Sara Ali Khan flew down to Bangkok two days back. She wore a denim jacket that had Coolie No.1 written behind. At the airport, she also posed with fans. This is Sara's second masala film after Simmba. It was Varun Dhawan's mom Lalli who clapped the first shot.
It seems Varun Dhawan won't be seen in a coolie's uniform in the film. David Dhawan told IANS, "After re-watching the original, I started working on the script. For six months, I wondered if I should make it or not. Finally, I decided to adapt it. It's actually a new film. I've worked on it for almost a year with the original writer Rumi Jaffery on the screenplay and Farhad Samji on the dialogue." All the best to the team!
