Tisca Chopra says she is 'a little bit more badass, aggressive,' as compared to her Taare Zameen Par character - EXCLUSIVE interview

Remember Tisca Chopra as Maya Awasthi in Taare Zameen Par - the loving and caring mother of Ishaan Awasthi (Darsheel Safary)? This film was a game-changer in Tisca's career and people soon started recognising her. It also paved way to more film offers. "Before Taare Zameen Par, people were not aware of me as an actor. Whatever respect, the recognition I got in the fraternity is through this film. It's been seven to eight years for this film but people still remember it," she had earlier said in an interview. And it was all due to the powerful character that she played on the silver screen, that Tisca Chopra earned appreciation from the audience and critics.

In fact, Tisca was also 'mummy-fied' after she played a mother in Taare Zameen Par. "Actually after Tare Zameen Par, I was 'mummy-fied'. Everybody saw me in an intense character. Frankly, I should be doing just comedies," she had mentioned during the promotions of Rahasya. That was back then.

Recently, in an exclusive conversation with BollywoodLife, when asked about what kind of a mother she is in real life as compared to her character in Taare Zameen Par, she said, "I am completely different. I am a little bit more badass, aggressive, competitive and ambitious." For the ones unaware, Tisca has a daughter named Tara Chopra.

Tisca also spoke about her upcoming project which is Good News with Kareena, Akshay, Diljit and Kiara. "I am not allowed to speak too much about it (the film) now but my character in Good News is a light-hearted one. I really enjoyed working with Dharma (productions), Raj Mehta (director)- he is fabulous. And of course, it was great to work with Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh. There are a lot of crazy sequences in Good News, it is madness. It was a relaxed mood on the sets."

Having worked in television serials (Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki, Astitva...Ek Prem Kahani and Mariyam Khan - Reporting Live), is Tisca open to doing any reality show? "Absolutely not! It doesn't excite me. I would love to be a judge on any reality show but as a contestant, I don't think so. I am not that kind of person, I am an introverted person. During interviews, I have to speak but otherwise- I am happy to not put myself out there. So, I think I wouldn't be a good contestant as I will be seated in one corner, happy in my own space," Tisca said.
