Director Harish Shankar has yet again roped in Pooja Hegde, after Duvvada Jagannadham, for his next Valmiki which stars Varun Tej in one of the lead roles. Valmiki is a remake of 2013 Tamil film Jigarthanda which starred Siddharth and Bobby Simha in lead roles. The makers have now revealed Pooja's look from Valmiki and the Mohenjo Daro actress turns a village belle in this film. Sporting a half-saree and riding a bicycle, Pooja looks cute in this poster which was revealed by the makers a day ago. Interestingly, Pooja's character is called Sridevi and her look reminds us of the late superstar's look from many of her 80s films in Telugu and Tamil. And this implies Pooja has task cut for herself to live upto the expectations. Check out her look here:

Pooja Hegde was last seen in Maharshi alongside Mahesh Babu which went on to become a huge blockbuster. Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, the film also starred Allari Naresh in a key role. Pooja will also be seen alongside Allu Arjun in his next which is titled Ala Vaikuntapuramlo. The film is directed by Trivikram Srinivas and is slated to be released during Sankranti 2020.
Speaking about Valmiki, the teaser of the film was recently released by the makers and Varu Tej's look in the film is menacing. The F2 actor turns into a dreadful gangster and unleashes like a beast. His beard look and intensity in his body language steal the show and will make your wait for the film harder. Also seen in the teaser is Atharvaa who will debuting in Telugu with Valmiki. Valmiki will have Varun Tej reprising Bobby's role while Tamil actor Atharvaa will be seen stepping into Siddharth's role. Jigarthanda was written and directed by Karthik Subbaraj who received much appreciation for his screenplay. The makers of Valmiki will look to recreate the same success with the remake and make it a huge hit.
