Mission Mangal is raking in big numbers at the box office and might be the quickest Akshay Kumar film to reach the 100 crore mark. In the film, he plays the part of mission director, Rakesh Dhawan who leads a team of five scientists who make Mangalyaan possible. In the film, Vidya Balan is the project manager, Tara Shinde while Sonakshi Sinha, Nithya Menen, Kirti Kulhari and Taapsee Pannu are playing the members of the core team. There has been a bit of a debate on why a film that talks about the achievements of women had to be toplined by a male star. Akshay Kumar's face featured prominently in the posters. The actresses have said that he is a superstar and grabs more eyeballs for the film, so it is a win-win situation. So, do women actors lack the requisite star power or is Bollywood biased? Vidya Balan answered all this with a statement and impressed with her clarity of thought.

Vidya Balan told a portal, "There is no denying that the biggest star in this film and one of the biggest stars in the country is Akshay Kumar. When you talk about the business of a film, you talk in terms of the male actor. But things are changing, we have been headlining films, our films are doing well. Hopefully, in a few years, this change will also happen. But as of today, when you talk about the business of a film, you do say that an Akshay Kumar film has earned this much."

The lady who has proved she is an acting force with films like Kahaani, The Dirty Picture and Tumhari Sulu said she was hopeful that things would change. "You can't take it away from him. Look at the business his films have done over the years. I'll be foolish to say, 'oh they didn't take my name', but hopefully someday (the change will take place). I am hopeful because I have seen things change drastically in the past ten years," she opined.

Vidya Balan again showed us that few can match her in terms of acting, grace and wisdom with her statement. A film involves a lot of money and is a product of team work. Vidya's honest perspective is something we're sure every actor and actress will relate it.
