After tying the knot, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are going to be seen together as husband and wife in Kabir Khan's '83 and we can hardly wait for them to create their magic on-screen. The duo recently returned to the bay after wrapping up the first schedule of the shooting in London and needless to say, fans have been waiting to see more of the two! Which is why fans (including us) were more than excited to see them slay the green carpet at IIFA 2019. While Deepika Padukone looked like she descended from some place above in the custom Gaurav Gupta number with dramatic sleeves and a gossamer tulle hood, complemented with a soft feather trail, Ranveer Singh took OTT to another level with his Moschino suit which kinda-sorta came with its own train, plus a choti plus and walking stick! Like that wasn't enough, #DeepVeer also handed out couple goals like it was nobody's business. But just when we thought, they couldn't get any cuter, they have! But hey. we couldn't complain about being wrong? It all happened when Deepika took to Instagram stories and summed up their looks with 'Who did it better/Close enough' digs on themselves and it is all kinds of hilarious. To give you a break down, the actress asked who wore the choti better - Ranveer or Agnes from Despicable Me and answered it herself saying, 'Mine' and then compared her trail with a mop, nothing less! Talking about '83, Ranveer will step into the shoes of Kapil Dev who is fondly remembered as the Haryana Hurricane. Deepika will portray Kapil Dev's wife Romi Bhatia Dev in the film. DeePee is the most recent addition to the film which is scheduled to release in theatres on 10th April 2020. '83 is a biopic based on the life of former Indian skipper Kapil Dev and also narrates the story of India's historic win at the coveted World Cup in 1983.
Deepika, on the other hand, recently wrapped up her next, Chhapaak. The Meghna Gulzar directorial is a biopic on acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. In the film, Deepika will be seen romancing Vikrant Massey. Chhapaak will release in January next year and is set to clash with Ajay Devgn's Tanaji: The Unsung Warrior.
