Now our excitement raises to next level as we can't wait for the makers to reveal the remaining cast who will play Pandavas and Kauravas including Karna, Arjuna, Duryodhana and one of the most important characters Lord Krishna. Deepika will co-produce Mahabharat with Madhu Mantena and it will be made in multiple parts. The first part is set to hit the screens in Diwali 2021.

Meanwhile, Deepika has two projects in the pipeline. She will be first seen in Chhapaak, which is based on the true story of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. The film is slated to hit the screens on January 10, 2020, and will clash with Ajay Devgn and Kajol starrer Tanhaji: The Unsung Hero. The film is directed by Raazi director Meghna Gulzar and also stars Vikrant Massey in a key role.
Post that, she will share screen space with hubby Ranveer Singh in '83. The film will chronicle the heroic journey of the Indian cricket team for winning the 1983 world cup. The film also stars Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saqib Saleem, Jiiva, Ammy Virk, Harrdy Sandhu, Pankaj Tripathi, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saqib Saleem, Sahil Khattar and Chirag Patil in key roles. While Ranveer essays the role of Kapil Dev, Deepika will play his wife Romi Dev. It is produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri, Sajid Nadiadwala and Madhu Mantena and is scheduled to hit the screens on April 10, 2020.
