Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is witnessing some huge drama amidst Kartik and Kairav. In recent episodes, we saw that Kairav has started hating his father as he believes Kartik has always hurted Naira and he cannot see his mother sad. Kartik and Naira prepare for Kairav's birthday and the Goenkas decide to celebrate it at the Goenka house. Kairav tries to ignore Kartik but stays with him for Naira's happiness.
Kairav is not ready to share his birthday with Kartik and hence does not wake up in the morning when they had to leave to go to the Goenka house. Naira convinces him and they reach the Goenka house. Kairav tries to stay away from Kartik while his behaviour hurts Kartik. At the party, Naira dresses up Kairav just like Kartik and Kartik is really happy to see that. During the celebrations, Kairav is upset to see Kartik and Naira close and wants Kartik to stay away from his mother. In the upcoming episodes we will see that post the birthday celebrations Kairav reveals his hatred for Kartik and runs away. Kartik-Naira go behind him and see him standing in front of the main road. They run to save him but before that he meets with a small accident. Kartik is shattered as he thinks it is because he had yelled at Kairav during the Dusshera celebrations while Naira consoles him. After Kartik and Naira are allowed to meet Kairav, Kartik goes in to apologise to his son.
Kairav is not ready to forgive Kartik but asks a strange promise from Kartik. He asks Kartik to stay away from his mother Naira as he does not want to see his mother crying again.
