Ever since SS Rajamouli announced RRR, the film has been in the news. It is one of the biggest films to be made in India at a budget of Rs 350-400 crores. Ram Charan, Jr NTR, Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn are part of the star cast. The film is about two fictional characters, Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem played by Ram Charan and Jr NTR respectively. In the film, he will be seen as Ram Charan's father. It is set in the early 1900s. A source had confirmed to an entertainment portal that Ajay Devgn is on board to play Ram Charan's father. It seems the shoot is on in full swing in Hyderabad's Ramoji Film City. Later, he also confirmed the news.
As per reports, Ajay Devgn will be seen in the film in the post-interval part in flashback. It seems he wasn't keen to do this cameo but SS Rajamouli managed to get him on board. The source informed, "He wasn't sure because the part is not very long. It is almost like an extended cameo and he wasn't sure about doing it. But after a narration from Rajamouli, he got excited. It was also one reason why Ajay initially had given a statement saying he wasn't doing the film at all. Things worked out eventually."
Just before her birthday, the team of RRR made the official announcement about her joining the film. She will shoot with Charan in the next two months. A source told Mumbai Mirror, "She will shoot with Charan in Ahmedabad and Pune in the next couple of months. She will be seen in the look of a young girl from the early 1900s."
