Well, we all love the camaraderie between Ayushmann Khurrana and his onscreen parents Gajraj Rao and Neena Gupta in last year's superhit Badhaai Ho. Now the trio is all set to entertain us again as Gajraj and Neena have joined Ayushmann Khurrana in Shubh Mangal Zyada Savdhaan, which is the second installment of Shubh Mangal Savdhaan franchise. A source close to the development, told Mirror, Neena and Gajraj immediately connected with the script and were happy to come on board. They play a couple in this film too but will be seen in a completely different avatar from Badhaai Ho. Featuring another extended family and a light-hearted take on deeply divisive issues, the film will tackle the subject of homosexuality in a light-hearted manner.
Producer of the film, Aanand L Rai also confirmed the news and told the tabloid, With Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, we chose to explore a novel subject in an unusual and unexpected setting. And a story like this needed talents like Neena ji and Gajraj Rao.
While the first part was based on erectile dysfunction, this movie will be a gay love story. The film is directed by Hitesh Kewalya and will go on floors in August this year. It will clash with Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan's untitled next (Tentatively titled Love Aaj Kal 2) and Aditya Roy Kapur, Disha Patani and Anil Kapoor starrer Malang on February 14, 2020.
Interestingly, all three films are love stories and it will be interesting to see which one will excite the audience most. Since all three lead actors of these ventures enjoy a huge fanbase among the youth, we might witness a great box office battle.
