It's time to look back at the performances of the year and see who is at the top. The first half of 2019 has been one of the better ones with some great content being made in South cinema. While there were terrific individual performances in all four languages in South, there were onscreen couples who stole the show with their chemistry. In Telugu, Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Akkineni slayed it on screen with their chemistry in Majili. In Tamil, Suriya and Sai Pallavi worked for the first time and fans loved their subtle romance in the film. Chay and Sam played onscreen wife and husband for the first time post their wedding in Majili and fans couldn t have asked for a perfect story like this. The power star of Kannada cinema Puneeth Rajkumar and Rachita Ram have worked in the past few times and their chemistry is always fire on screen. But Natasaarvabhowma had a freshness to it in them. Two acting powerhouses in one frame and a script which keeps you hooked onto it results only in a blockbuster hit. Athiran featuring Sai Pallavi and Fahadh Faasil is an example of it. NGK: Suriya-Sai Pallavi (Tamil)
Suriya and Sai Pallavi paired up for the first time in NGK which was directed by Selvaraghavan. The powerhouse of actors played on screen husband and wife and looked perfect in every sense. While we don t need to justify Suriya s acting prowess, Sai Pallavi was up for the challenge like a pro and matched his level. How did you like NGK?
