A few weeks back, we told you that blockbuster filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar, who has delivered money-spinners like Sultan, Tiger Zinda Hai and the recently released Bharat has taken Beyond The Clouds actor Ishaan Khatter for his maiden production venture, which will be directed by one of his assistant directors. The makers were looking out for a young A-List actress and now they have zeroed on Student of the Year 2 star Ananya Panday. As per the Mumbai Mirror report, the source close to the film said, Since the Maximum City-centric film is a fresh take on the romantic genre and revolves around young people, Ali was keen to cast actors who are a big draw with youngsters. Both Ishaan and Ananya have impressed with their first films but have not worked together so it s a new jodi as well.
Interestingly, Ali also made his directorial debut with a rom-com Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, which featured Imran Khan, Ali Zafar and Katrina Kaif in lead roles. "Ali loves the script and believes it s the ideal subject to turn producer. Being a writer himself, he has been involved throughout the scripting process." The untitled venture will go on floors in the end of this year and will be shot in one straight schedule.
Ali Abbas Zafar is currently working on multiple scripts and one of them is the third installment of the Tiger franchise. Talking about it, the filmmker earlier told, "As soon as it is ready, I will share it with SK... There is always pressure working with Salman, and when you do a franchise, it just multiples. It is essential to write a bigger and better story."
