Kangana Ranaut has THIS to say about Zaira Wasim quitting Bollywood

Zaira Wasim hit headlines last week when she announced her decision to quit Bollywood. The Dangal actress stated that the acting profession was conflicting with her religious ideals. She had shared, 5 years ago I made a decision that changed my life forever. As I stepped my foot in Bollywood, it opened doors of massive popularity for me. I started to become the prime candidate of public attention, I was projected as the gospel of the idea of success and was often identified as a role model for the youth. However, that s never something that I set out to do or become, especially with regards to my ideas of success and failure, which I had just started to explore and understand."

Bollywood was divided over Zaira s stand. Recently, at the launch of Wakhra Song from Judgementall Hai Kya, Kangana Ranaut was asked about Zaira s decision and here s what she said, It should make you fulfil your life and if you think your life is already fulfilled, there's plenty of work around you. Try and help your family and friends. Kaveri is drying up. There's so much to do. So work and try and fulfil the environment around you. The essential fundamental requirement of any religion is to empower you, not disempower you.

Zaira s next film, The Sky is Pink will be her last Bollywood venture and the makers have supported her decision. The team released a joint statement which read, Zaira is an exceptional artiste and we are lucky to have had her play Aisha Chaudhury in our film. She has been a complete professional all through the shoot. This is a purely personal decision, which she has taken after much thought and we will support her in every way, now and always.

Her performance in Dangal had earned the 18-year-old actress the prestigious National Award. Reacting to Zaira s decision, Dangal director Nitesh Tiwari had told Mid-day, Zaira and I lost touch post Dangal. We briefly met during award shows. Her reasons are best known to her. She must have thought about it and taken the step. None of us has the right to pass judgment on what she has decided.
