Sai Pallavi rejected Vijay Devarakonda starrer Dear Comrade because of the kissing scene?

Vijay Devarakonda and Rashmika Mandanna won hearts with their intense chemistry in the trailer of Dear Comrade, which released last week. Apart from Vijay and Rashmika s promising romance, the trailer also revealed an intimate lip-lock scene between the lead characters. And now it has been revealed that this kissing sequence was the reason why Sai Pallavi turned down the project.

Reports suggest that Sai was offered Dear Comrade and ended up rejecting the film because of the intense kissing scene with Vijay Devarakonda. She reportedly made this decision, soon after hearing the script. Apparently, the actress was not comfortable in enacting the kissing scene and opted out of the Dear Comrade and Rashmika Mandanna was roped in for the part.

Dear Comrade features Vijay Deverakonda playing a college student, who finds love in Rashmika Mandanna. His Geetha Govindam co-star plays a state-level cricketer, who is clear about what she wants in life. However, their romance is disturbed thanks to Vijay's fierce escapades. Dear Comrade expertly traces their relationship troubles.

Set in a college backdrop, Dear Comrade has a raw and intense flavour, packed with energetic scenes. The cinematography is done by Sujith Sarang, while Justin Prabhakaran has composed the music of the film. Dear Comrade is jointly produced by Big Ben Cinemas and Mythri Movie Makers. The film is directed by Bharat Kamma and is scheduled to hit the screens on July 26. Dear Comrade will release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam simultaneously.
