The debate is often on whether the upcoming generation of Bollywood will be able to enjoy the stardom that the earlier lot did. It is widely said that Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan are going to be the last set of actors who have enjoyed stardom. And in the recent times, we have seen that even these actors have started failing in keeping the box office collections thundering. Salman s Race 3, SRK s Zero and Aamir s Thugs of Hindostan bombing at the box office is a testament of the fact that even these actors are losing their stardom. Salman Khan who was last seen in Ali Abbas Zafar's Bharat spoke about it recently.
In an interview with Filmfare, Salman admitted that the stardom they once enjoyed is going to fade away. He also spoke how there are only five actors who have enjoyed stardom in recent times. "Stardom will fade eventually. It s a huge task to keep it going for such a long time. I guess Shah Rukh, Aamir, Akki, Ajay we re the only ones who have been able to pull it off for such a long time. We ll try our best to keep it going for another few years. Just like in the case of all superstars, the box-office collection will come down to eight to ten percent. But it hasn t started yet," the actor said in the interview.
The actor is currently shooting for the third instalment of Dabangg. He will reprise the role of Chulbul Pandey in Dabangg 3 which is being directed by Prabhudeva. The movie is expected to hit the screens on December 20, 2019.
Post that he will kickstart Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Inshallah. In this reunion of Bhansali and Khan, the actor will be paired opposite Alia Bhatt.
Salman is also producing Th Kapil Sharma Show and will also produce dance reality show Nach Baliye 9.
