Super 30 box office collection day 1: Hrithik Roshan breaks his own record as his movie collects around Rs 12 crore on opening day

Hrithik Roshan-led Super 30 has opened on a good note. The movie released yesterday and received good reviews from all around. The movie has opened with decent numbers. According to the early estimates, Super 30 collected a whopping sum of Rs 12 crores approximately. Although the exact numbers have not arrived yet, early estimations suggest that the movie has collected between Rs 11-12 crores on Friday. This makes the movie break Hrithik's own record. Super 30 has surpassed the first day collections of Roshan's 2017 release Kaabil. The revenge drama had collected a sum of Rs 10.43 crore on its opening day. Going by the genre of the movie the collections are not bad.

The box office collection of the movie is said to be higher than Ajay Devgn starrer Raid and Akshay Kumar starrer Padman. The movie is based on Bihar based mathematician Anand Kumar and features Roshan playing the lead character.

Interestingly in our BL Predict section, our analyst predicted the movie to collect Rs 10-12 crores on its opening day. The report read, "Talking about its box office prediction, with the decent buzz around the film, we are hoping Super 30 to rake in around Rs 10 to 12 crore on its first day at the box office. Since the biographical drama is expected to have very strong content, if it strikes the right chord with the audience we can witness a substantial growth over the weekend."

Super 30 received a three-point half stars in BL's review. A part of the review read, "The film has many plus points. One of them is the crisp narrative. While the first half unfolds somewhat slowly, the film picks up pace post interval, and is that part is the more emotionally engaging one. Hrithik Roshan puts in a sincere performance and is stellar in some of the scenes. You might not exactly identify Bollywood's Greek God as a Bihari genius and passionate guru at the start, but he gets the emotions of the character right and grows on you."
