Hrithik Roshan's Super 30 has turned out to be a winner at the box office as it has witnessed substantial growth in its opening weekend. After enjoying a decent response on its first day, the biographical educational sports drama showed a big jump on Saturday and Sunday at the ticket windows. As per the early estimates, the film raked in Rs 22 crore yesterday and now stands with the grand total of Rs 52 crore. Since there is no competition for Super 30, we are expecting it to remain steady in the weekdays.
Apart from the domestic market, Super 30 has performed decently well in the international circuits. The movie, which is 154 minutes long, is based on the life of mathematician Anand Kumar who launched the Super 30 programme in Patna in 2002, which prepares underprivileged students for IIT-JEE, the entrance examination for the Indian Institutes of Technology.
Directed by Queen and Shaandaar helmer, Vikas Bahl, Super 30 also stars Mrunal Thakur, Nandish Singh Sandhu, Pankaj Tripathi and Amit Sadh in key roles. It is produced under the banners of Phantom Films, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, Reliance Entertainment and HRX Films and the music of the album is given by National Award winning duo Ajay Atul.
Meanwhile, Hrithik Roshan is currently shooting for Hrithik Vs Tiger along with gen-next star Tiger Shroff. Expected to be one of the most expensive projects of YRF, the film is shot in six countries across the world and will show some daredevil stunts, which will be a huge treat for the fans of both the stars. The film also stars Vaani Kapoor in a key role. It is scheduled to hit the screens on October 2 and will clash with Riteish Deshmukh and Sidharth Malhotra-starrer Marjaawaan at the ticket windows.
