Hrithik Roshan's Super 30 is has ended its opening week on a good note. After enjoying an excellent weekend, the biographical educational drama remained rock-steady in the weekdays and now stands with a decent collection at the ticket windows. As per early estimates, Super 30 raked in around Rs 5.75 crore yesterday, which takes its grand total to Rs 76 crore. These numbers are great since it is not a commercial entertainer. Since Hollywood biggie, The Lion King has released today, it will be interesting to see how Hrithik Roshan's film performs in its second week.
Directed by Queen and Shaandaar helmer, Vikas Bahl, Super 30 also stars Mrunal Thakur, Nandish Singh Sandhu, Pankaj Tripathi and Amit Sadh in key roles. It is produced under the banners of Phantom Films, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, Reliance Entertainment and HRX Films and the music of the album is given by National Award-winning duo Ajay Atul.
The film has received positive reviews across the country. Our critic Urmimala Banerjee gave the film 3.5 stars and praised the cast by writing, "Hrithik Roshan puts in a sincere performance and is stellar in some of the scenes. You might not exactly identify Bollywood's Greek God as a Bihari genius and passionate guru at the start, but he gets the emotions of the character right and grows on you. Pankaj Tripathi is terrific as the greedy and fake education minister while Aditya Srivastava also does a good job as Lallan Singh. Vijay Verma as Fugga Singh is also solid."
