A lot has been spoken about the remake of Satte Pe Satta which has been on the cards for a while now. It was being reported that Deepika Padukone has been approached for a role in the film but it was yet to be officially confirmed by the makers. And the latest we hear is that Anushka Sharma may be seen playing one of the roles in the film. News has it that Anushka Sharma has been approached to play one of the leading ladies in the film and the makers are in discussion with the Zero actress. However, it is being reported that Anushka Sharma is yet to give her go ahead for the project. Last seen in Shah Rukh Khan's Zero, Anushka Sharma hasn't signed any film since then and has been away from arclights.
Satte Pe Satta is a 1982 release and stars Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini, Amjad Khan and many other stars. And similarly, the remake too is expected to feature quite a few stars from the current lot of actors in Bollywood. The remake was initially offered to Shah Rukh Khan and later Aamir Khan was speculated to be part of it. And the latest actor to be in contention is Hrithik Roshan who has already acted in a remake of Amitabh Bachchan film, Agneepath.
Ever since Farah Khan announced that she will be collaborating with filmmaker Rohit Shetty for the remake, many were keen as to who will feature in the remake of the classic, which originally starred Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini. According to an entertainment portal, Hrithik Roshan had been approached for a major role, but the latter denied it straight away calling it a rumour.
