After Raju Gari Gadhi 2, Nagarjuna and Samantha Akkineni to reunite again? Here's what we know

After working together in films like Manam, Raju Gari Gadhi and Manmadhudu 2, Akkineni Nagarjuna and his daughter-in-law Samantha Akkineni may collaborate for yet another project. According to a report in Deccan Chronicle, Nagarjuna is planning to produce a family entertainer and is planning to rope in Samantha for the lead role. According to buzz, this move is a result of the failure of Manmadhudu 2 which has left Nagarjuna in a tough situation. It is also being speculated that Nagarjuna is in talks with current top directors to direct this film which is yet to be locked. Samantha Akkineni is at the prime of her career with back-to-back hits to her credit in Telugu and Tamil in the last few years. It is being said that Nagarjuna wants to cash in on her stardom and revive his market value which has taken a hit with few of his latest films.

Akkineni Nagarjuna was last seen in Manmadhudu 2 which was directed by Rahul Ravindran. The film received mixed response from audience and turned out to be a mediocre affair at the box office. This has led to losses to some of the distributors who banked on the film highly. Being the co-producer of the film, Nagaruna is said to be in a fix about the situation. Nag is currently hosting Bigg Boss Telugu 3 which is raking in great TRPs owing to its spicy proceedings inside the house. Nagarjuna is gradually establishing himself as host and yet to leave a long-lasting impression on the audience.

Speaking about Samantha, the star actress was last seen in Oh Baby which was directed by Nandini Reddy. The film was a remake of Korean film Miss Granny and also starred veteran actress Lakshmi, Rajendra Prasad and Naga Shaurya in crucial roles.
