It's unstoppable now! Saaho is breaking all possible records at the box office and is on a roller coaster ride. After raking in more than Rs 24 crore only in the Northern part of India, Saaho has now become the fastest Telugu film after Baahubali to earn $1 million in the US. Saaho rakes in $1.11 million at the US box office in just one day which is second fastest after Baahubali. The SS Rajamouli directorial earned $3.4 million from just the premiere shows when it released in April 2018. The second position was held by Chiranjeevi's Khaidi No 150 which earned $1.03 million from just the premieres while the third position was held by Pawan Kalyan's Kaatamarayudu which earned $1.01 million. Saaho, with $1.11 million, is the second fastest Telugu film to do so. And looking at the advance bookings of the film, looks like Saaho will soon zoom past $2 million in the US.

In India, Saaho has earned more than any of the Hollywood films on day 1 at the box office giving them a tough competition. In Hindi, Saaho has earned a gross collection of Rs 24 crore which is highest for any South actor who has a release in Bollywood. In Telugu, Saaho earns a gross collections of Rs 23 crore at the box office in Telugu states. In Tamil, Saaho is said to have earned approximately RS 11 crore which is yet to be confirmed by the makers. Box office collections for the Malayalam version are yet to be recorded by the distributors. Despite mixed reviews from critics and audience, Saaho seems to have taken a great start at the box office.
However, owing to the dull word-of-mouth for the film, trade pundits believe that the trend may not sustain till the long weekend is over and may soon witness a dip. Saaho is said to be filled with tons of twists and thrills with Prabhas at the centre of almost everything but lacks the narrative to keep viewers hooked onto the story. Many viewers felt that the film had the potential to make it big but was pulled down by the lacklustre writing. While fans of Prabhas claim that the film is not as bad as it is being called out, a certain section of audience feels that Saaho is a missed opportunity with a budget of that scale.
