Janhvi Kapoor is currently gearing up for the biopic drama, Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl. Based on the life of the first-ever female airforce pilot, Gunjan Saxena, we will see Janhvi stepping into the braveheart's shoes to essay the role of the first Indian woman airforce pilot in combat. This biopic drama is just the second film of Janhvi's and we must say, we would really love to see Janhvi as a pilot in the film. Today happens to be the real Gunjan Saxena's birthday and Janhvi who ill essay her role has wished the lady on her special day.
Taking to her Instagram handle, Janhvi Kapoor penned a heartfelt note for the woman of honor. She shared a picture of herself with Gunjan and wrote, "Happy Birthday Gunjan mam! Thank you for teaching me the true meaning of bravery, the importance of working hard and sincerely and for paving the way for millions of women in our country. Recently the makers shared a few posters and Janhvi's look from the film which was received warmly by the audience. Talking about the film, Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Neena Gupta, Angad Bedi, Rajat Barmecha, Vijay Varma, Manu Rishi and Harsh Chhaya in key roles. Sacred Games actor Pankaj Tripathi will be seen playing the role of Janhvi's doting father while the Badhaai Ho actress Neena Gupta will be seen as her mother. Angad Bedi, on the other hand, is said to be seen as Janhvi's brother in the film. The film is jointly produced by Dharma Productions and Fox Star Studious and is all set to release on March 13, 2020.
