Meanwhile, in an exclusive interaction with us, Vidya Balan aka Tara Shinde said, "From the time I heard the narration, I knew this film is good and it will do well. I don't think much about the numbers (box office), Kitna and all. Before Mission Mangal, I never had clarity about how well a film would do. But this time, through the narration, film making process and the promotions, I had clarity."
"The other day somebody asked how well do you think Mission Mangal will do? And I said very well. The next day, I said very very well and the third I said it will do very very very well. As I said this, Akshay Kumar and others were like - what are you saying? But, I said that I am confident because we made a good and wholesome film - there is humour, human story, the science which is simple and entertaining. Agar aisa nahi hota (if the film wouldn't have worked well), I don't know what I would... (pauses for a bit)," she added.
Directed by Jagan Shakti, Mission Mangal is based on India's Mars Orbiter Mission and about the ISRO scientists' contribution to it.
