We are total suckers for action packed movies with a hint of Bollywood masala and romance in them and Saaho seemingly ticked all the boxes right from the very first teaser. Starring Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles, Saaho created a massive buzz around itself even since the film went on floors. Quirky songs, well-choreographed action sequences and the stardom of Baahubali fame Prabhas, everything about this film was going to attract the audiences in massive numbers and so it did.
Saaho collected a total of Rs. 24.40 at the ticket counters on day one, becoming the third highest opener of the year, behind Bharat, which earned Rs 42.30 crore on its opening day and Mission Mangal, which garnered Rs 28.50 crore in its opening day, in the tally.
With a reported budget of Rs 350 crore, the box-office collections on Saturday and Sunday will play a major role in setting the fate of the film. The film hasn't met with a favourable critical response.
