And the makers of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah have finally found a new face for Sonu's character. After Nidhi Bhanushali quit the show, the hunt to get her replacement onboard began. It seems, the makers have now found the perfect replacement of Nidhi who may do justice to the role. Palak Sidhwani, who has down few commercials and short films in the past, has been apparently roped in as the new Sonu. According to a SpotBoye report, Palak began shooting for Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah yesterday. While the hunt for new Sonu was on, the makers depicted that her character left India for higher studies and now Sonu will be back to Gokuldham society with a new face (Palak).
As for Nidhi Bhanushali's exit from the show, the actress reportedly quit TMKOC to concentrate on her studies. "She is pursuing her BA from Mithibai College (Mumbai) and is quite a studious person. Now she wants to shape her career with education and wants to devote more time to finish her graduation. Although, the production house is contemplating on the matter by giving her more time to study and less shoot hours. Yet, it is becoming difficult for the actress to manage work and studies together. Hence, she is quitting the show," a source was quoted as saying by the same entertainment portal.
Before Nidhi bid adieu to the show, it was Bhavya Gandhi aka old Tappu quit Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah after being a part of it for 8 years. Confirming his exit, Bhavya had informed TellyChakkar, "Yes, I have quit the show in the month of January. The journey of eight years and eight months has been fruitful. I have enjoyed working with my Taarak cast and Asit (Modi) sir (producer). In the same way, in which my fans have showered me with love, I would want them to support me for my future endeavours."
