Avinash Tiwary and Mrunal Thakur roped in for Karan Johar's horror web series

Karan Johar's last outing with the web series was very hyped and much speculated and undoubtedly a hit. Lust Stories which starred Vicky Kaushal and Kiara Advani as one of the lead pair traced the story based on lust. Both Kiara and Vicky's outing with the Lust stories gave an ample boost to their careers. Karan is known to give a boost to any budding and talented actor's career and to join the wagon are Avinash Tiwary from Laila Majnu fame and actress Mrunal Thakur of Super 30 fame. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Karan has approached Mrunal and Avinash for his next which will be a short story.

For the unversed, Avinash received widespread acclaim for his acting debut in Laila Majnu. He not only won over the audience but also the critics. Avinash's portrayal of Qais got him some rave reviews from the critics. On the other hand, Mrunal who first made her stint on TV won many hearts with her acting chops from many acclaimed films like Love Sonia, Super 30 and Batla House. As per the report, Mrunal and Avinash will be the leads in the short film which revolves around the horror and supernatural genre.

Karan Johar will don the director's hat for the same. Incidentally, this marks Karan's debut with a horror genre. Having proved their acting skills with their debut films, Karan Johar is keen to work with Avinash and Mrunal on this horror flick.

Not to confuse with Vicky Kaushal's Bhoot Part One- The Haunted Ship, Karan's web series, based on the horror genre is making the headlines as well. This is the first time Karan will direct a horror flick and he is quite excited about the same.
