Family time! Akshay Kumar to ring in his 52nd birthday with a trip to London with wife Twinkle Khanna and the kids

Akshay Kumar is known as the Khiladi of Bollywood and his films by the same name are only one part of the reason. The rest is the fact that nobody takes fitness as seriously as him. While for most there are gym days, Akshay lives by the mantra of healthy living and we are in awe. Noy just this, he is also a bonafide family man who shoulders all his responsibilities of being a son, husband and father. Be it training his kids to lead life the healthy way or supporting his wife Twinkle Khanna in all her endeavours, he hardly ever shies away. Recently, Akshay Kumar was also seen spending time talking to his ailing mother and taking her for a stroll and it endearing in ways more than one! In fact, the actor who will turn 52 on September 9, will reportedly take time off and go on a trip to London with the entire fam. He will be flying out this weekend with wife Twinkle and kid Nitara for some quality family time. A source told Mumbai Mirror, "It will be a lowkey celebration for the Kumars. The idea is to quality time with the entire family."

But seemingly, it will be a quick getaway as the actor will kick-start a film and also the promotions of Sajid Nadiadwala's Housefull 4 which is scheduled to release this Diwali. The fourth instalment of Housefull 4 has an ensemble cast which includes- Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon, Kriti Kharbanda, Bobby Deol, Rana Daggubati, Riteish Deshmukh, Chunky Panday, Saurabh Shukla, Johnny Lever, Jamie Lever, Pooja Hegde among others. The film is due for Diwali release but it is still in the post-production stage. "It's a scaled-up film, the biggest in the franchise in terms of budget. The chunk from the Baahubali era that required visual effects was shot much in advance. A team is working on the final edit and VFX," a source informed a leading daily.

Going ahead, the Khiladi has a good number of projects including Rohit Shetty's Sooryavanshi with Katrina Kaif, Good News alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan and Laxmi Bomb in the pipeline. Stay tuned to BL for more updates and scoops!
