Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor get emotional as they unveil the wax statue of Sridevi with papa Boney Kapoor in Singapore

Sridevi, the first female superstar of Bollywood passed away last year, and nothing has been the same ever. The legendary actress who has left behind a marvellous body of work is survived by filmmaker husband Boney Kapoor, and daughters Khushi and Janhvi Kapoor. Recently, on her 56th birth anniversary, the entire industry remembered the icon with fond memories. Daughter Janhvi Kapoor even took to Instagram to share a beautiful picture of her beautiful mother Sridevi.

Even Madame Tussauds Singapore dropped the best news for fans and admirers all over the world. They announced that they will soon be featuring Sridevi's first ever wax figurine and even shared snippets of the figurine that has been designed after her classic Hawa Hawai look. The good news is, the day is here! Boney Kapoor along with daughters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi have unveiled Sridevi's statue and is everything we thought it would be. Needless to say, the family seemed very emotional during the unveiling, especially who stood close to the figurine trying to see a reflection of her late mother. Check out all the pictures here.

If you haven't noticed it yet, Madame Tussauds has also collected messages from Sridevi fans across the globe and have displayed the same on the wall during the launch, as a tribute to the iconic star.

Last year on her 55th birth anniversary, Boney Kapoor and her daughters (Khushi and Janhvi) had organised an event in the loving memory of Sridevi. All of them got teary-eyed and the filmmaker also broke down while he said, "My love story with Sridevi is an open book. Whatever matters of the heart that can be shared is all in the public domain. What is most close (about her) will remain in the heart. That's my support system for life. Today this vacuum, this void cannot be replaced but the good wishes and the goodwill that she has left behind is something that we can live with... She is with me, in my memories...with my children." Sridevi will live in our hearts forever...
