Ram Kapoor has step foot in all the mediums- be it films, television or web shows. In his career spanning over 20 years, Ram has proved his mettle as an actor and he enjoys a massive fan following. Like any other artist in the entertainment industry, the 46-year-old saw his share of ups and downs but he survived through it all. Today, when Ram looks back at his journey, the actor feels happy and he isn't bothered about the competition at all. Ram Kapoor is content for the fact that he has created his own little space in the industry. However, according to Ram, the ones who are just starting out in the industry, have no work at all.
In a Hindustan Times interview, the Bade Achhe Lagte Hain actor said, "It's extremely tough, especially for aspiring actors to get work. Apparently, about 90 per cent of them don't have any work. They spend their whole life giving auditions. I think a mere two per cent manage to make a successful career."
Going down the memory lane, Ram shared the struggles he faced during the initial days of his career. "During the initial five to eight years of my career, I was just one more name out of thousands. There were times when I didn't have any work for six months and wasn't making enough money. But, I transformed my situation and made it big for me," said Ram.
On being asked how important money is for him, the actor added that there is time for him to make money and grow as an artist. Ram maintained that he's done well for himself and made a lot of money. However, if he still wants to keep the money as his top priority, the actor can continue doing television but he is happy with interesting work that he is doing.
