Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor's Saaho has made Rs 350 crores at the box-office in five days flat. The recovery of its mammoth budget is done and now it remains to be seen if it turns out to be a huge blockbuster or not. For the film, to be labeled as a blockbuster it needs to make in excess of Rs 600 crores. The reviews for the film are mixed both from the audience and critics. It made Rs 350 crores from the worldwide market reinstating that Prabhas is a pan-India superstar. However, it's day five collections are lower than Rangasthalam and Maharshi in the Telugu belt. On the first Monday, Rangasthalam made Rs 5.14 crores while Maharshi made over Rs 3 crores.
The film is also in the news for plagiarism issues. The director of Largo Winch, Jerome Salle mocked the makers of Saaho after the bad reviews. He called it a 'freemake' and said if his film was being freely made then makers could at least do a good job. In fact, even Agnayathavaasi was also supposed to be inspired by Largo Winch. In the film, Prabhas plays the role of Siddharth Nandan/Saaho, the illegitimate son of a business tycoon, Roy (Jackie Shroff). After the mysterious death of his dad, he has to track down the killers and save his business empire. BollywoodLife in its review wrote, "Prabhas powers the film in every frame. His charm grows on you scene by scene. He makes even the bland lines sound good. And he looks hot as hell in some scenes. One of the highlights is the bike chase scene. It leaves you breathless. Hollywood stunt director Kenny Bates deserves huge applause." Stay tuned to BL for more scoops and updates!
