The past week, Suhana Khan has been charming us with her ethnic avatars at a family wedding in Kolkata and she also dropped a chic look as she partied in Mumbai. And while we eagerly wait to see her antics in front of the camera, it has been revealed that this star kid was to debut with her daddy s film My Name is Khan, nine years ago!
Suhana Khan s best friend from B-town, Ananya Panday recently spilled the beans on how she had accompanied Suhana to the shoot of Shah Rukh Khan s film My Name is Khan in America and the two girls were asked to be a part of the project. In an interview with ETimes, Ananya said, I actually remember the time when I went on a set with Suhana when Shah Rukh sir was shooting for My Name is Khan . Suhana and I went to visit him on set when he was in America. They were shooting some scene, and Karan (Johar) needed some people to walk around in the background. So, he asked to just walk around and we were like 12 or something and we got so excited. I wore this pink jacket and I was so excited. They took some 7-8 takes and in every take both of us did this like walking and overacting.
And while Suhana and Ananya were excited to see themselves on the silver screen, the two girls met with a massive disappointment. Ananya added, When we watched the film and we were waiting for our scene to come which is when we realised that it was cut from the movie. We were so upset but that s one memory I have from my sets.
A debut with My Name is Khan didn t work out for Suhana, but she has big dreams for Bollywood. In an interview with Vogue, Suhana had said, I don't think there was any one moment when I decided. Since I was young, I'd do all these accents and impressions. But my parents only realised I was serious about acting when they saw a performance of mine for the first time. I was playing Miranda in a school performance of The Tempest.
