South releases this week: Sindhubaad, Pakkiri, Thumbaa and Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya

The upcoming Friday will witness a galore of films releasing in South India and has some interesting ones. In Tamil, Vijay Sethupathi's Sindhubaad will hit the large screens and will clash with Dhanush's Hollywood debut The Extraordinary Journey of The Fakir which is dubbed into Tamil as Pakkiri. Along with these two, another medium budget film Thumbaa will also be released and has managed to garner decent amount of screens. In Telugu, AIB fame Naveen Polishetty will be making his debut as a lead actor with Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya which will have him playing a detective. The trailer has left Telugu movie buffs excited about this comedy film which is slated to be released on June 21. Sindhubad:

Director: SU Arun Kumar

Star cast: Vijay Sethupathi, Anjali, Vivek Prasanna

Thumbaa:

Director: Harish Ram

Star cast: Keerthi Pandian, Darshan, Dheena

Synopsis: This film is touted to be an adventure thriller and revolves around three young people who enter a forest for a trip. Keerthi, Darshan and Dheena end up in a tangle and how they come out of it forms the story. Thumbaa is also slated to be released on June 21.

Pakkiri:

Director: Ken Scott

Star cast: Dhanush, Erin Moriarty, Barkhad Adbi, Berenice Bejo

Synopsis: Pakkiri is the Tamil dubbed version of The Extraordinary Journey of The Fakir which is Dhanush's Hollywood debut. The film is based on a popular book written by Romain Puertolas and depicts the life of a street magician who travels all the way to Paris in search of his father. Pakkiri is slated to be released on June 21 worldwide.
