Ajay Devgn to join Sanjay Dutt in the Hyderabad schedule of Bhuj: The Pride of India - deets inside

In March this year, the head honcho of T-Series Bhushan Kumar announced a mega project titled Bhuj: The Pride of India featuring biggies like Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Parineeti Chopra and others. The film recently went on floors in Hyderabad where Sonakshi and Sanjay started the shooting now as per the Mumbai Mirror report, Ajay Devgn will join the cast in Hyderabad from tomorrow. Talking about the characters, Ajay Devgn essays the role of Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik, who was in-charge of the Bhuj Airport during the 1971 Indo-Pak war. On the other hand, Sanjay Dutt plays the character of Ranchordas Svabhai Ravari, who helped the army during the war. While Parineeti will play an Indian spy named Heena Rehman, Sonakshi will be seen as a social worker named Sunderben Jetha Madharparya. The film is directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya and will hit the screens on August 14, 2020. It will enjoy the Independence weekend at the ticket windows. The film is based on a true event during the 1971 Indo-Pak war. Interestingly, Ajay has previously worked with Sanjay, Parineeti and Sonakshi in All the Best, Rascals, Son of Sardaar, Golmaal Again and Action Jackson respectively.

Meanwhile, Ajay Devgn will be next seen in his upcoming production venture Tanhaji: The Unsung Hero, which marks the directorial debut of Om Raut. Made on the lavish budget of Rs 150 crore, it is one of the ambitious projects of Ajay Devgn. The period film also stars Kajol along with Saif Ali Khan, who will play the lead antagonist in the venture. Tanhaji: The Unsung Hero is scheduled to hit the screens on January 10, 2020, and will lock horns with Deepika Padukone starrer Chhapaak, which is directed by Raazi helmer Meghna Gulzar.
