Sonakshi Sinha is caught in a legal controversy over an FIR lodged by an event organiser. It is being alleged that the actress did a last-minute no-show at an event in Delhi, even after accepting a booking amount of Rs 24 lakhs. According to an India Today report, a team of police officers from Uttar Pradesh visited Sonakshi s Mumbai residence, as part of an inquiry for the alleged cheating case.
Since the FIR was registered in Moradabad, a team from UP police and Juhu police station in Mumbai, went to visit the actress at her residence and record her statement in the case. The report further stated that Sonakshi was not at home when the officials arrived and left after waiting for a few hours. The team will be visiting her again today.
Sonakshi Sinha's spokesperson refused the allegations and told Mumbai Mirror, "In her nine years long career, she has only worked with complete honesty and sincerity. What this man is accusing her of is completely untrue and baseless. This is just a way of extortion by maligning her spot free reputation in the press and it is not something that Sonakshi and her team will succumb to. She is a thorough professional and we have been more than cooperative with whichever authorities that have gotten in touch with us because we have nothing to hide."
On the work front, Sonakshi Sinha has two films releasing next month. She will soon be seen running a sex clinic in Khandaani Shafakhana, which is scheduled to hit the screens on August 2. Come August 15 and Sona will step into the role of an ISRO scientist for Mission Mangal, which also features Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan and Taapsee Pannu. 2019 will conclude for Sonakshi on a high note as she returns as Rajjo opposite Salman Khan in Dabangg 3. Sonakshi also has war drama Bhuj: The Pride Of India in her kitty.
